POSITION SUMMARY

A Channel Sales Manager's main purpose is to network with multiple agencies to establish leads for direct or channel sales through positive relationship building interactions.  Day-to-day duties include managing many different media types to include email, phone, social media, etc. while scheduling appointments, answering questions and fostering potential partnerships. Channel Managers will take an active role in sales, demonstrations, and negotiations as instructed by their supervisor.  Channel Managers are vital to building our clientele on a continuous basis. This position will develop/enable the SMB Incontact team. You will be on site with partners performing trainings, demos and building relationships 2-3 days a week. You will have occasional on-site visits with Utah customers. This position offers you flexibility, full benefits package, commission and a starting hourly wage of $14/hr. As well as a company laptop, cell phone stipend and mileage stipend.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR DUTIES

  •  Send mass communication via email, phone and social media to potential leads, following up on possibilities while continuously networking
  • Engage with potential clients to perform demonstrations of our product with both domestic and international sales
  •  Prepare reports on lead and lag measures, quarterly goals, channels visited, demos completed, and other information as requested
  •  Work closely with the Marketing department, ensure proper updating of channels both domestic and international and seek new channels as delegated
  •  Builds and maintains a knowledge base of each client's business, organization, and objectives
  •  Manage and prioritize leads from VAR's (Value added resellers) and Ma's (Master Agents)
  •  Completes and updates client relationship management (CRM) system upon each client interaction to specify all interaction with that account
  •  Identifies and engages in upsell opportunities as applicable for each client
  •  Works as a team with other Customer Support Specialists and CRR's to identify best practices and creatively collaborate on new processes
  •  Work as a liaison between the Director of Channel Management and all departments, channels and partners
  •  Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

 Education:

Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor's Degree in the field of Public Relations, Advertising, Business, or Marketing (or closely related field) preferred.

 

Required Competencies:

  • Minimum one year experience providing customer support, channel management, or sales via phone (must be listed in resume)
  • Ability to manage multiple account relationships and maintain a high-level of organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills'especially oral and written communication
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities and confidence required
  • Must be self-motivated and excel at problem solving solutions
  • Accountability, initiative and the ability to self-manage
  • Must be proficient in excel, csv file formats, word, and all other Microsoft office suites
